PrimaLoft is a synthetically created insulator. It is made by weaving fine polyester fibres together into layered sheets that form tiny air pockets which trap heat generated by the body. It was designed to be different from other insulators by continuing to provide warmth even in wet conditions. Although not technically waterproof, its ultra-fine fibres are less absorbent than their counterparts whilst being quick drying after exposure to water.
